Acrylic pigment for Jesmonite resin. Apply a maximum of 2% by weight. AC100 resin produces the most vivid colours as it has a higher acrylic resin content.
We recommend using original Jesmonite pigments, as their high dye concentration means that only a small amount is needed to achieve the desired shade.
Tips on Jesmonite pigments:
To achieve a pure black, always calculate 2% of the total weight of the mixture, otherwise grey tones are often obtained when the Jesmonite dries.
If you have no experience with pigments, it is advisable to first dye the liquid, mixing several colours if necessary, and once you have the desired colour, add the powder (AC BASE). Once everything is mixed, you can correct the shade by adding more pigments.
How to achieve perfect mixtures with Jesmonite pigment?
To achieve homogeneous mixtures, without lumps or white spots, we recommend using Jesmonite's MIXING WHEEL.
How do I store Jesmonite pigments?
A good way to keep pigments in perfect condition is to shake them regularly, so you always use the perfect mixture/concentration. Some colours, due to their solid pigment formulation, tend to settle at the bottom of the container. Remember to shake them regularly, and of course, always before use.
Important note:
Green pigment is much thicker than others. If you have difficulty with green, it is much better to use yellow and blue.
